Lincoln University President Kevin Rome with Georgia Marie Bodkins Cureton who received the 2016 Special Appreciation Award for her service and career that spanned nearly 50 years and through six university presidencies. She served through six university presidencies. She and her husband, Robert “Bob” Cureton, established the Robert and Georgia Cureton Scholarship Fund to leave a lasting legacy aimed to assist students from southeast Missouri achieve their goals.
